Band Members: Dan plays electric piano, sings, and writes songs about girls. Jen (being one herself) plays electric bass, sings, and used to be embarrassed by said songs, but now makes even me blush sometimes. Jason plays non-electric drums, thankfully. We feel that's more than adequate. Oh, and Zac plays electric guitar and sings now, too.
Influences: I dunno. XTC? The Knack? The Jam? Elvis Costello? Boomtown Rats? Wings? Teenage Fanclub? The New Pornographers? Quasl? In any case, it's a very narrow thread of music running from about the mid-'60s to the late '90s. You know, the kind of stuff that, if you write it now, is very unloved. If by "influenced by" you mean "used to be in", then we can count Crushstory (several times over), the Atomiks, and Big in Japan. We'll ignore the rest of Zac's bands; go do your own research if you're so damn nosey.
Sounds Like: ... the members of Belle and Sebastian having sex (only moderately loud, 'cause roommates are sleeping) while listening to the White album. Thanks, Jen! Or, like, if the members of Crushstory shuffled around a bit and resumed playing the same type of ironically-dubbed 'pop' music.
