Reno-Tahoe's entertainment guide

About Me

Calendar is the weekly entertainment guide from the Reno Gazette-Journal. We cover concerts coming to town, local music, local clubs, CDs, movies, restaurants, theater and events. If it's local, we're interested. Serving you since 1997!

All of the artists you hear on the Calendar Radio player are from the Reno-Tahoe area. Some are hot and new, some have been around the block, and some are now part of the historical landscape. Most have their own MySpace page, and we've linked you up over there to the left under "music.' We got blog!

My Interests

Music, movies, food, leisure, twisted humor

I'd like to meet:

John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, John F. Kennedy and maybe a Beastie Boy, but since that's unlikely, we'd rather concentrate on mingling with Reno-area folks interested in after-work leisure pursuits.

Music:

Interviews from the Calendar staff with your favorite bands, CD reviews, nightclub schedules, plus news and notes on the local scene in Scene Here. Our local-music collection keeps growing (200-plus local artists and counting) and we want to keep hearing your stuff too, Reno-Tahoe! Listen to it on our streaming radio and contact us if you'd like your music in the rotation. Now streaming: Big in Japan , Cranium , Above All Things , Jen Scaffidi , Mister Vague , Crushstory, Pascal , All About Me , Humble B , Livitz Livitz , Young Lions , Gabriel Traverso , Bourgeois Gypsies, Pufferbilly , Boogie Monsters , Schizopolitans , Danielle French and Panic Opera
