About Me

Aliah Sheffield is a Soul/ R&B singer/songwriter from newark ,new jersey/Savannah,Ga. She is one of four children. when she was in the fifth grade she was introduced to the clarinet ,and continued to play till she was in turn introduced to the alto saxophone in her first year of high school . she did not start singing till the begging of 11th grade .After her move from sav to newark she started taking music more seriously after being pushed by her high school chorus teacher (Valerie Price) . This made Aliah look at music in more creative aspect so thus began song writing . in 2007 she was accepted to berklee college of music and is currently attending for a song writing major.Aliah is keeping her eyes open for all the great possibillities that await her .

Sounds Like: I sound how I feel at the moment I dont wanna put my self in box i wanna strech my arms out as far as I can [JM] I've been playing for about 10 years now. I had a year of music store lessons, and I went to Berklee College of Music for a year, but I didn't get much more out of it than the ability to be surrounded by music for 24 hours a day. I left because what I was doing was kind of frowned upon by Berklee. I play a lot with the thumb of my left hand (fretting hand) and I had to pretend that I didn't when it came time for exams. we won the song contest big congrats to martin duarte, myself,and malichi for getting notary on his producing he didn't produce my song but he did produce a copule of other peoples songs
