Singer-songwriter, guitarist and producer Juan David (a.k.a John) Escobar hails from Colombia. His musical evolution, however, was fueled by his experiences of living in various places in South America, Africa and, ultimately, the US.From his earliest years, he was immersed in music, by learning to play drums, and then advancing to guitar, all of which he took very seriously. He began to write his own music, drawing upon his Colombian heritage, as well as his affinity for rock and jazz. After finishing high school, he attended Omega School of Recording Arts and Sciences and earned a degree in Audio Engineering. After this, he attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston Mass, were he received a degree in Professional Music.John is 24, and currently co-runs Tuneswap Productions. In addition to playing in several projects, he is the lead singer with Son de Boston, a salsa band directed by Berklee professor Richard Grudzinski.His first full length album, “While we’re young†released under the Patuxent music label.
