Video Story
Two girls: Lauren in the UK and Mariam in Africa - both equally beautiful & full of potential. Lauren is making her way on her bike to the open air pool to meet her friends. Green trees and water everywhere. Mariam is making her way with her brother, along the long dusty track to fetch water, meeting friends along the way. In between these two stories, we see the band playing the song underwater.
Lauren arrives at the open-air pool and splashes about with her friends, while Mariam has filled her jar after her long walk. Her brother kicks a ball and it knocks the pot and its contents to the ground. Mariam is saddened.
At the same time, in the UK, Lauren dives into the pool and comes face to face with the band. She swims up and starts baling water up to the sky. Mariam is suddenly showered with fresh water, and the point is made. Oh yea, and the WaterAid logo is on the bass drum skin.
She's So Clean - Lyrics
Water, flowing over the globe.
I made all this effort -
To drink with you I'd walk a thousand miles.
She, she looks so clean,
Sparkling by a fountain on a summer's eve. She's so clean (x4)Water, it's all over the globe.
Was it worth the effort?
To drink of you I've walked a thousand miles.
I wish, I wish it was clean -
Sparkling like a fountain on a summer's eve.She's so clean (x4)There's a girl I know
Says where she lives
Clean water never flows.
There are no reeds -
The simplest of means
Are out of her reach.Water, flowing over the globe.
I'll die from this effort -
To spawn in you I swam a thousand miles.
Free, it's free and it's clean!
Sparkling silver salmon in a Highland stream.She's so clean (x8)(S.Stevens, P.Sweeney, J.Tyler, D.Rowlands)
