We have opened the polls for The Mag Awards 2008, so it's time to get voting to choose the bands you want to see win. It's all down to our readers now - no judges, ticket-sale-related rewards or anything apart from their music and your opinion....

I know it says "Male, 28" on the left, but that's just the Online Editor. I know it also says "Athletic".

My Interests

Music, music, music. I love music!

I'd like to meet:

New, fresh and exiting talent or old, derivitive and boring talent. It really doesn't matter as long as you're ready for an honest review and you're not signed to a major label. (You know, the likes of Universal, EMI, SONY BMG - we don't have anything against them, they just have plenty of coverage already!)If you want to get covered by The Mag, your best bet is to check out the following handy articles. Well, there are 2,000 unsigned bands on The Mag that I've had a good listen to, but I'm into to any style!

Books:

You just have to check out "The Rock Snobs Dictionary" and "We Could Have Been The Wombles" for essential music reading.

Heroes:

John Peel is a hero. Not just for the obvious reason that he championed some of the greatest new bands ever, but because he got old and still liked good music. We all want to like new music when we're old and we need to know that not everyone turns into a slipper-wearing easy-listener!
