May 2002. Sick & tired of living in the squalid and soulless suburbs of Torino-motorsonic-punkheart-city, they decided they just wanted to play their fuckin stuff and kick some asses. For Mistake were created. And it was only the start.
The original line-up of the band was Andrea on heartbreaking screamo-vox + noisy SG, Dario, the bloody-hardcore-attitude-bass-player, and Luca on emo-haircut and emo-Firebird. Andrea & Dario have been played together in a hc-combo called Acid Rain for three years, and they got in touch with Luca after their band has been splitted up. They started to write songs, they started to play. Obviously they became friends.
Since the beginning, For Mistake has had some problems with their drummers; Azza seemed to be perfect, but he left the band after theyve been recorded their first low-budget-3-tracks-demo-tape (Offside, recorded in a one-day session on December 1st, 2002 and produced by Stefano Chiariello @ Studio Acqualuce, Alpignano, To).
In January 2003 their song Alone was included in the emo-sampler Embracing The Sun, released by Kimera Records (Rivoli Torino, http://www.kimera.biz), and in May For Mistake were recommended and described like one of the Italian hottest new emo-core bands.
Around the same time Gabriele replaced Azza on drums, but hell play with For Mistake only for a short period. In spite of all the difficulties in finding a stable line-up, Offside kept getting positive and encouraging reviews, and the band contributed their songs to the Panc Records Compilation (Panc Records, Genova, http://www.pancrecords.it), with emo and pop-punk bands such as Waterdown, Count The Stars, Teen Idols, May I Refuse, Friday Star and many others, and to Brainhard:Heartpunk, emo/melodic-hc compilation released by In Delirium Records (LAquila, http://www.rockambula.com). Besides For Mistake are going to collaborate on others compilations released by Chumsley Records (Milano), Kronic.it (http://www.kronic.it) and Punkdrunk.tk (http://www.punkdrunk.tk).
Massimo is their new drummer, after Azza, Gabriele, Francesco, Mino and Dario; he joined For Mistake in May after a very troubled time for the band (but theyre so stubborn and theyve never stopped playing...). Like his band pals, he wants only to play bloody-honest-emo-core, and everybody hopes hes here to stay. At the moment For Mistake are recording their new material, gigging whenever & wherever possible (they shared the stage with hc/indie/emo bands such as Latterman (USA - Deep Elm Rec.), On the Might of Princes (USA - Revelation Rec.), Crime in Stereo (USA - Nitro Rec.), Seven Feet Four (SWE - Coalition Records), Static Radio (USA), Fine Before You Came (ITA), Cameran (AT), Antillectual (NL), Subrosa Falcon Association (DE), The Apollo Program (FR), Forty Winks (ITA), Nitrojuice (ITA), The Rituals (ITA), Your Hero (ITA), May I Refuse (ITA), AIM (ITA), Coffee Shower (ITA), Daylight Seven Times (ITA), Mrs Fletcher (ITA) and others) and trying to find a label to collaborate with.
