My name is Devon, I am a twenty year old musician. Or at least I like to think so. I play a few different instruments, although I regret not taking the time to get great at any certain one. Thankfully, my heart is in being a vocalist, where I get to put my love for writing lyrics, and melodies to the test. I love being the link between the music and the crowd, and to sometimes interpret the emotions with words that are being expressed by the music itself. I have been involved in a few prominent and worthwhile projects in the past, and I don't intend to stop in the future. Ask me what I've accomplished so far and I'll share with you. At this point in my life, I feel like I need to rely on myself, and maybe one other person to make my dream a reality once again. So I am now working really hard on a band with one of my best friends which we have yet to name, but are in the tedious amazing process of doing, and if you ask what the influences are, I may tell you that as well. Im also a writer, whether it be writing Music, Lyrics, or Poetry, I put my heart and soul into it, and it is the ultimate way to express myself. I am now out of high school, and instead of following everyone elses dream of going to college, I'm following my own path, and pursuing my passion as a musician. I can't picture my life without performing, and recording music, because it is a part of me. I am determined to make it work, and it will not fail, because I wont let it. That being said, Music is pretty much my life, haha and I couldnt live without it. I don't like what I see in the world today. Too many people putting so much effort and faith into things that they don't fully understand. When believing in yourself, and those around you will get you so much further. I believe that there is good in every person, but whether you choose to be one is up to you. I believe that people should chase there dreams, and put there hearts and souls into what they want to accomplish, and they truely will. Never give up on your dreams, and they won't give up on you, because they are attainable with effort, hard work, and most of all, belief in yourself. I have had trouble in the past with spreading myself too thin amongst many different people/friends, and because of this I have learned to keep only my best friends who I'd trust with my life around and as a result I don't have many friends, but the ones I do I am grateful for everyday. I'd do anything for them, but I'm always open for meeting new ones. I value people who are genuine and original, because thats hard to find these days. Never judge people by what others say, take the time to form your own opinion, and your more often than not, pleasently surprised. I just created this to talk to friends, and meet some new ones.
