The Animation Show

About Me

Finally, there's an animation festival with the artists themselves at the helm! Kicking off in the fall of 2003 with its first North American tour, The Animation Show is an annual feature-length compilation of the best animated short films from around the world, exclusively curated by MIKE JUDGE (Beavis and Butt-Head, King of the Hill, Office Space) and Academy Award nominated animator DON HERTZFELDT .
The Animation Show launched in 2003, making it the first festival of animation created and produced with actual animators at the helm. A sister series of high quality Animation Show DVDs now supplement the theatrical tour with additional insights and brand new lineups of films - while the main Show remains a unique and unforgettable annual program that is usually gone forever once it is out of theaters.
Every year the Show works diligently to put animated shorts into more theaters than any festival in American history: giving these filmmakers the wide exposure their work deserves and sharing their short masterpieces on the big screen, where they belong.
In January an all new theatrical program hits theaters across the country. We'll have schedule information up soon!

My Interests

Putting animated short films into more theaters than any other animation festival in American history and giving filmmakers the wide exposure their work deserves and to share these short masterpieces on the big screen, where they belong.

I'd like to meet:

submit your film!

FILM SUBMISSIONS

The Animation Show welcomes animated short film submissions year-round, of all shapes and sizes: student or professional, we'd love to consider your work for the big show. The Animation Show is artist programmed and distributed. There isn't another festival in the world offering as much financial incentive and support for animated short films.

To submit a film, please send us a copy of it on VHS (NTSC, PAL, or SECAM format) or DVD to our main office address below. Please be sure to include your complete contact information with your film. Sorry, we cannot return submitted materials so be sure not to send us your only copy. Alternately, if your film is viewable somewhere online be sure to let us know and we'll go check it out!

We welcome and recommend you post a link to your work here and in our forums at www.animationshow.com if the film is already available online. We understand that other film festivals sometimes disqualify work that has screened previously online. If this is a concern we encourage you to post a clip or create a trailer for your work. We are inundated with so much material this is another good way to get your work in front of us. This also offers a great platform for you to share more background information about yourself and your film!
