I am fond of kind-hearted weirdos, the shunned, the degenerate, the eccentric, the ones who ignore convention without doing it on purpose. I maintain long-term friendships with a disturbed cadre of potentially bad influences. For better or for worse, I am absolutely useless at living according to contemporary behavioral norms. The trite dance of social respectability strikes me as an incredible waste of life energy. Before conscientiously altering yourself to better please others, consider that they will repay you in kind, and you will never end up knowing anyone on anything other than a glossy surface level. Of course, it's all subjective, and chances are a person will ultimately be happier prancing through life while kissing everyones filthy boots. So don't listen to the preemptive warnings of a bombastic fringe-dweller such as myself.
