Spurp!

About Me

12 guys in white slacks and red guayaberas with a whole lot of booze. What happens when you mix all that awesomeness together? Thats right, Lord Mike and his Dirty Calypsonians. Playing a mix of traditional Kaisos and Calypsos from 1960s Trinidad, the Calypsonians do their best to recapture the fun, satirical and energetic stage show of Calypso greats like Mighty Sparrow, Lord Kitchner, Duke, King Fighter and Mighty Terror. The Dirties are an amalgamation of local musicians and friends who have all come together to have a good time drinking, laughing, and playing music. In the process, the Calypsonians and Lord Mike have brought a fresh flavor of tropical debauchery to the Windy City. The new record will be out in early May. But until then make sure to catch an upcoming show and see what all the stupidnes is about, if you dont already know.
