Performance Artist.Belly dancer. Model. Promoter. Katayana has been dancing and modeling since she was a young child. At age 2, she won best photograph for a contest in Chillicothe, OH. She's studied different styles of dance including: ballet, tap, Scottish, folk, jazz, belly dance, & house dancing. She's done several runway shows for various designers and did costume modeling for painting students at The Arts Center. She's performed at numerous clubs, art galleries, haflas, and music festivals ranging from the Amphitheater, Global Gathering, Ultra Music Festival, Earthdance, Nation of Poetry's "Spittin" Images—A Play On Words", Tropical Heatwave Festival, to the FL Drum N Bass Festival. She was blessed to open up for George Clinton at Jannus Landing and later performed for Superstar DJ Keoki! Katayana has contributed her performance art and promoted for many fundraisers such as; HIV/AIDS awareness & research, Breast Cancer, Angels of Care, Food not bombs, CASA, and Muscular Dystrophy. She's the owner of House Invazion Kru and is collaborating w/ other artists for a live musical, theatrical show.
