About me? hmmmmm,...Well for starters, my name is Kurt or Dj Truk,...which is Kurt spelled backwards, yes I know pretty ingenious idea! haha but it works and alot of friends don't even catch on to it for a while,.......anyhow most of my friends just call me "Truk",......The biggest thing about me (besides my manhood) haha,.lol. is that I love music! I really love all forms of techno. Breaks and Trance are my faves. I used to play guitar in a heavy metal band and then evolved to more repetative sounds of hip hop and rap. About ten years ago I started getting into Techno. I went to Ampitheater when it first opened around 1998 or 1999, and the Ampitheater was my home every saturday night for the next 9 years. I was there for Ampitheater's last night,....I even made a video of it,...you can check it out by clicking on "my videos",.............................Anyhow, I started mixing techno a few years ago, I do it as a hobby and for my friends. It all started when I wanted to make some CDs of my favorite Techno, but wanted to blend the songs together. So I got some VIRTUAL decks installed on my computer and started just blending the intros and outros of my favorite songs and made my own CDs. Then I started mixing songs over each other and well u know the rest......just started making my own versions of my favorite songs. I really like to mix up tracks that most people wouldn't do, like my "Sweet home alabama TECHNO remix" the crazier the mix the better!!!! Right now I have a few pretty cool mixes of other peoples songs with many other ideas up and coming, but I also have a few projects of my own Dj Truk ORIGINALS that I am presently working on!!! These will be showing up on my music spaces real soon!
