We're all taking too damn long to grow up in America!

About Me

Hiya Friends! Glad for you to see me. My name is Jason P. Chesney. The "P" stands for "And why not?" Yes, I am related to Kenny. He's my third cousin on my pappy's side. Here's a little background for those who are interested.....I am a rare native of Southern California. Born and raised in Temple City, whose most famous citizens very well may be an astronaut, Eddie Money's lead axe slinger, and Scanner. It's also known for Big Chick's Ping Pong Tournements (of which I now currently hold the title!) A great place to grow up in the 70's & 80's. I still have a few great friends from all the way back.I studied music under the great Bobby Bradford at Pasadena City College, never got any kind of degree.......blah blah blah, Worked at various Mortuaries off and on for five years, then decided to pursue a life of poverty and became a full time musician (or a professional bozo, as you like it). And why not? I have been blessed enough to have gone on a few tours, played on some wacky TV shows and I get to perform and record with many amazing musicians (and hopefully will continue to do so). At one point, survival was possible from just playing music! At this very moment, I am contemplating what my next step will be.I'm on the lookout for sure but really, my dream is to blast into a lounge act and sing "Zaz Turned Blue" like Mel Torme'. True Story! Today, it's absurdity abound. I don't have to go into details. We are all living in it big time. Some days I'm laughing at it all, other days I feel how sad it all really is. "When everything is going good, just wait. When everything is going bad, just wait." I for one can't wait to see how it all turns out! Oh yeah, and I have a third nipple.

My Interests

I am an absolute unapologetic music snob. I stick as much in my listening hole as possible! I also dig FZ, sport eating, booty-ism, absurdity, lounge singers, stoopid tv shows, peace and quiet, long walks on the internet, sproing flabadab, odd meters, and incredibly strange people. I also play a lot of bass guitar, pretend to play six string guitar and love my miss debbie!

I'd like to meet:

I dunno......Interstellar travelers flying through time and space, dimension warp and all that rhythm, the spirit of Alan Wilson....

Kill Kill Kill ugly television.....but these shows are good! I have a fetish for old T.V. shows and their soundtracks. My Bass playing is HEAVILY influenced by Frank DeVol's incidental music scores for the "Brady's", especially Carol Kaye's exceptional Bass work(true story), and Mo'Nique's opening screams on "Showtime at the Apollo". I also love Televangelists. Have you ever heard of Kerney Thomas? He's as hot as Pastor Bob Tilton was in his heyday. Call in and get your "Prayerkerchief" and get healed right over the phone after making your vow of faith. TV at its best!!!
