About Me

* Born in the heart of Dallas, Texas. * Raised in a small town outside of Dallas. * Started classical piano lessons at age 6 and did competitions and festivals until I burned out at age 15. * I wrote my first song at age 9. It's called, "Oh Someday, Vacation Day." I think I was onto something. * I played piano and sang backups for my mom in church. * I also played clarinet and flute. * Graduated from high school a half year early and started college at 17 in another small town to get away from my small town. * Transferred to University of North Texas in Denton and almost found myself. Anyway, music was really happening there. * Moved to Dallas and played in a few bands and landed a gig with Sara Hickman, who was signed to Elektra Records shortly afterwards. I wrote a song with her that became "the single" and made it to number 14 in Billboard on the Adult Contemporary chart. * We toured, we sang. We were on the Tonight Show and Austin City Limits. Fun. * I decided to move to Los Angeles to hit the big time! HaHaHaHa!!!! Don't get me wrong. There are many things about LA that I love, but it's a hard town. * I back up several different artists in LA, playing piano, keyboards, vocals and accordion. * I now have the best band I've ever had. We tracked bass & drums at Bright Orange Studios. I've revamped my studio. * Working on the music! * I'm happy. * I think I may have found myself. * And now for something cute:
