Jasmin

Jasmin, a jazz pianist and composer, was born in 1977 in Seoul, South Korea. Since I was in 4 years old, I've loved singing the song, heard a piano music. Mostly, my musical environment was formed by my father who has played piano and clarinet. Finally, I started learning a piano when I was in 7 years old. And I studied the classical piano in the Music College for 2 years from 1996. From 1999 to 2000, I also studied a Jazz piano. After that, I joined with the fusion jazz band "Freezm", played the music based on Korean traditional style. I learned a lot of things myself how to create, produce and play own music through this band, also I had lots of stages, small gigs, recordings for 4 years. In 2005, I moved to Boston to study a jazz music more in Berklee College of Music. In Dec. 2007, I graduated this college majoring in the Performance Major here. Next step, I'm planning to move to New York, to make own record, to have a gig and to study the Jazz music in Graduate Course.
