About Me

Gregory Alan Isakov has been described by Boulder Weekly, "Strong, subtle, a lyrical genious" and has been compared to his influences, Bruce Springsteen, Kelly Joe Phelps, Iron & Wine and Gillian Welch. Gregory's humble presence and his overwhelming voice and guitar style have been treasured by an ever-growing and captivated fan base. Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and raised in Philadelphia, Isakov moved to Colorado at the end of the last decade. He has made a rising impact on the music scene and has been recently awarded Denver Westword's Best Singer/Songwriter 2007, and 2007 winner of Telluride Troubador Competition. Gregory Alan Isakov has shared the stage with numerous touring artists such as Ani Difranco, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Alexi Murdoch, and Fiona Apple. Isakov has performed throughout the United States; and has appeared at music festivals such as South by Southwest, Falcon Ridge Folk Fest, Rocky Mountain Folks Fest, and Telluride Bluegrass Festival. He has toured solo and with his band, and has just released his first full length album, "That Sea, The Gambler"in may 2007. "Rust Colored Stones(2003)" and "Songs for October(2005)" are available at itunes and www.cdbaby.com.
