THE RELIEF PROJECT:
THE MISSION
To use music as a tool to rebuild lives; a bridge to bring cultures together in the fight against poverty; and a voice calling for the protection and liberation of displaced and orphaned children the world over.
THE VISION
In collaboration with other recognized non-profit organizations, The Relief Project supports communities in immediate need across the United States and around the world. The Relief Project uses music as its platform to raise money, to educate, and to inspire groups and individuals to take a more active role in caring for humanity.
HISTORY
Co-founded in the fall of 2005 by musicians Brad Corrigan (Dispatch and Braddigan) and Jon-Erik Borgen (J.E. Borgen), The Relief Project began with a goal of raising money for victims of Hurricane Katrina and other recent world tragedies. What transpired was a rallying cry that brought together 19 established and emerging artists from across the US who generously donated a piece of music to The Relief Project, Vol 1., a benefit compilation CD. To coincide with the release of the compilation, The Relief Project promoted a concert at Irving Plaza in New York City that featured the music of Dispatch, State Radio, Stephen Kellogg, Braddigan, Pete Francis, Kate Voegele, and J.E. Borgen. The event brought in a sold out crowd of 1,100 and enabled the organization to grant over $19,000 to the Community Service Center of New Orleans and Save the Children's operations in Sudan and Pakistan.
MOVING FORWARD
The success from that inaugural year carries over today and the project continues to seek out artists and non-profit organizations in various communities that can work together to raise awareness and money for programs that fulfill The Relief Project's mission.

It is through you, the fans, that we continue to bring hope and make a difference in the lives of so many children around the world who face physical and emotional hardship.
