Music...is there anything else?
People who share at least some of the same interests, or at least similar interests. Got to have that common thread of something. I love discussing music and film with people who are passionate about them. Intelligent conversation with interesting people is always stimulating, but please, no intellectual snobs!

I read mainly bios and autobios, and (like Ray Davies' book...) unauthorised autobiographies. ;-) I like true stories and historical bits about eras that interest me. Photography books of kitsch-y things with pieces of comedy thrown in are always welcome too.
I'm not a huge fan of fiction, but all-time favorite fiction novel is "Little Women"...the original version, not the kids 10 page storybook.
