I HAVE NO TALENT IN CONFORMITY.

About Me

A young Black kid from Harlem who finds inspiration in music, art, love, peace, and idealist politics. One of the coolest or the strangest twentysomethings you'll ever meet, depending on which side of the fence you're sitting. Exciting, unpredictable, and even controversial at times, but always interesting. The founder/guitarist/songwriter/vocalist of a (someday) legendary New York band called The I-Crisis (Which existed from 8/2001-3/2008). Some new musical projects are underway for 2008, so be on the lookout for them. He's got soul. He's super bad!

My Interests

Music, guitar, bass, piano, drums, toy harmonica, percussion, reading, poetry, eating, travelling, dancing, the internet, astrology, chilling, thinking deeply, Basketball (Go Lakers!), Baseball (Go Yankees!), music, Tennis, Billiards, Bowling, Horse racing, checkers (although I haven't played in a while), kicking my drummers ass, getting my ass kicked by my drummer, television, erotic-oriented media, music, art, history, politics, going to concerts and live shows, preaching the gospel of racial and social unity, protesting the world's injustices, harrassing anyone wearing T-shirts of my favorite bands, old school video games, comics, exploring,....and did I mention music?

I'd like to meet:

Friends, musicians (NOTE: unless I know you or will see or have seen your gig or I think your music is absolutely amazing, don't expect me to add you since I've recently put a stop to adding musicians.) Prince, Clash, Paul Weller, and Morrissey fans, left-of-center beings, Capricornian women as well as beautiful ones in general, funky and soulful folks, eccentric people, visitors from Pluto, afro-punks, 80's/New Wave lovers, deep thinkers, left-wing socialists, wealthy consultants, spiritual enthusiasts, anyone with an open mind and heart, etc.All racists, sexists, fascists, jingoists, conformists, religious fundamentalists, and close-minded people please leave now!

Music:

Ahh, yes, the one thing I cannot live without. Let me put it to you this way, my Mother once called me a "music library". Few can match my knowledge and appreciation of all music (and I can say this without any conceit or arrogance). The misconception about me from many folks is that I'm too "old school". Yes, I like old school music for the most part, but I'm not limited to that. It's just that I see very little quality in most of the popular music of today. They just don't make classic music like they did back in the day. Every now and then there are those few new acts that impress me as well as the ones that have always been great and will always be around. But I look to mainly old school artists for inspiration. The top 3 would consist of Prince/O+ (as well as his empire; he'll always top the list), The Clash (the greatest Punk band of all time and the one band that made me wanna play music), and Talking Heads (the band that made me proud to be an art school weirdo). The rest: The Beatles, The Smiths, Morrissey, Gang of Four, The Specials, The entire Jackson family (even the not-so-talented ones), The B-52's, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Cure, ABC, David Bowie, The
