Eclectic Electric Roots Music for the Mind & Body

About Me

Welcome to the WOODSHED, world headquarters for the raw musical magic I'm trying to conjure up. ... In this day and age, it takes more than one band to stay busy! I'm currently spearheading four acts in the Charlotte area: * The STRAGGLERS (western swing/boogie-woogie)* LUNATIC FRINGE - (roots-rock, wild improvisation)* FLAMINGO TRIBE - (female vocal, fiddle)* SMOKEHOUSE STOMPERS (horn band, New Orleans funk/swing).... This is a tremendous talent pool and we often mix 'n' match to suit specific occasions. Venues we've played include The Americana, Neighborhood Theatre, Visulite Theatre, Double Door Inn, Evening Muse, Comet Grill, Rodi and many more, plus Festival in the Park, Lake Eden Arts Festival, Flat Rock Music Festival and Tryon Barbecue Festival. ... I also do sideman work with AMY BROOME (contemporary singer/songwriter) and RAMBLIN' BILL (honky-tonk). ... Feel free to visit my personal page www.myspace/woodymitchell.
