The High 5s

Thank you to our fans for 3 great years of support

About Me

Recently, The High 5's have decided to part ways. We're toying with the idea of a finale show, but no guarantees. We want to thank our family, friends, other musicians, and fans for all of the support over the past 3 years. The following is a list of what the future holds for each member:1.) Ben C. (AKA "Bear") is having a cub soon... 2.) Ben Gathard will be wed to his lifemate Ellen in late spring/early summer... 3.) Joe Pfister still loves technology 4.) Dan Rapp will be playing drums for The Muppet Band and Jon Dittmer... 5.) Nick is helping produce Patrick's solo project "Owl Brigade" which should be done by late spring...Other then that here's our previous bio:It is hard to pin down a dominant influence for The High 5's. It's fitting that the band hails from St. Louis, Missouri because the oft-intoxicated crew combine sounds of east coast industrial indie/alternative rock (The National/Interpol/The Strokes), southern grit (Kings of Leon/MMJ), west coast indie pop/60's and 90's rock (Pearl Jam/BRMC/The Doors), and a touch of Brit Pop (Doves/Editors). Founded in 2005, the 5's original lineup included Ryan Mueller on bass (formerly Wesley Drive), Brett Ramsey on drums (The Hibernauts), Ben Gathard and Joe Pfister on guitars, and Patrick Scheu as the frontman. After two months of practicing, Ryan had to focus more on WD, so Nick Gathard took over on bass. Jason Wagoner replaced Brett on drums only to leave for California one year later. Recently, the band added Dan Rapp on drums who has added some flash and bang to the band's always evolving sound. Ben "Bear" Capoccia, the newest and most inclined to perspire member, plays keys/keytar.
