Morning Vision Blue

acoustic magic for your soul

About Me

MORNING VISION BLUE IS
A dynamic acoustic blend of Grace Slick, Moody Blues, BB King, Jewel, Riverdance, Enya, Jethro Tull and more. MVBlue uniquely fuses celtic, blues and folk music integrating powerful vocals and compelling musical arrangements with unconventional instrument combinations, flute, Irish whistle, mandolin, guitars and percussion.

MVBlue fans gush that this is the "most original original music" they've ever heard. Truly Ron and Blue have created a style all their own. Even their covers are delightfully surprising twists of the familiar... A ragtime version of Radiohead's "Creep"... A growling blues rendition of "Ain't Nothin' But A Houndog"... 4 Non Blondes' "What's Up" to a bouncy reggae beat. Their large repertoire of original music also covers a gamut of styles, blues, Celtic, Americana, folk, reggae, ragtime, world music, old gospel and more. An MVBlue performance is a rousing musical romp across continents and centuries. The happy synergy between Blue and and Ron and their playful engagement of the audience is infectiously fun. You'll feel like you're sitting in their living room by the end of the evening. MVBlue combines that intimacy with amazing vocals, phenomenal guitar picking, beautiful flute solos, and captivating song arrangements to ignite an intoxicating musical experience for the audience. Pull up a chair and join them for a moving and unforgettable show.

Blue Tapp Scheffer's powerful 3-octave-plus-range vocals slide smoothly from deep reverberating Grace Slick thunder to silky Mariah Carey heights. Audiences are enchanted not only by Blue's voice but also by her musicianship as her flute, Irish whistle, mandolin, guitar or percussion enhances Ron's guitar in each song. Audiences can't wait to see which instrument she'll be picking up next...

Ron Hendricks' impassioned lead guitar perfectly complements Blue's remarkable voice. He expertly shifts between sensitive acoustic melodies, aggressive blues licks and his unbelievably fast style of playing both lead and rhythm at the same time. Ron has developed a unique acoustic playing style that is energetic and full. Fans are astonished at the rich and aggressive sound he creates with only one guitar. His deep gravelly BB King vocals lead some of their blues numbers and his softer backup vocals finish up many other songs.
