About Me

"A house is a place of shelter, it's body we put on over our bodies. As our bodies grow old, so do our houses. As our bodies may sicken, so do our houses sicken. And what of madness? If mad people live within, doesn't this madness creep into the rooms and walls and corridors? The very boards? Don't we sometimes sense that madness reaching out to us? Isn't that a large part of what we mean, when we say a place is unquiet, festered up with spirits? We say "haunted," but we mean the house has gone insane."Steven is a Haunted Survivor, Author, Speaker, Talk Show Radio Host, and Executive Producer.Steven founded Missouri Paranormal Research and co-founded the Paranormal Task Force after living through an extreme haunting himself along with his family and friends. Steven developed the idea of The Humanistic Approach to investigation in order to help others. In July of 2007, Steven left MPR and PTF to pursue independent endeavors, but is still very proud of both organizations today.Steven's focus is on extreme, private hauntings. These investigations are typically dangerous and intense in nature with either an individual or a family endangered by a demon. He has successfully investigated and concluded many such cases because of his personal background in extreme hauntings, the network of investigators he has developed over the years and upon whom he relies for back up and/or advice, and his compassion for people. He is frequently called upon to speak about various investigations he was involved in, and he has also been a featured guest on several radio stations across the US, the UK, Canada, and parts of South Africa. Steven is not a stranger to television interviews either and has had many interviews with him published in newspapers and magazines across the US. In October of 2006, "Fear House" premiered as the first show of the third season of the Discovery Channels, "A Haunting." This show featured Steven and the story of the Union Haunting. In addition, he has been interviewed and filmed for inclusion in two paranormal documentaries. Most recently he was filmed and interviewed for a Booth Brothers documentary which is scheduled for release in October 2007 titled, "Children Of The Grave". Steven will also be featured in the upcoming "Children Of The Grave 2: The Possessed," which will be released in June of 2008.Steven is also a published author. His short story was published by Barnes and Noble in 2006, and he is a contributor to magazines dealing with paranormal activity. He is currently working on a semi-autobiographical book that will for the first time reveal the details of Steven’s and his family’s personal experience with an extreme haunting. This book is being published by Llwellyn Worldwide as a major project. It is also the subject of an upcoming major motion picture. Steven Has numerous other writing projects that he is currently working on.Steven is a much sought after lecturer on the national circuit. Steven’s personal experience, his involvement in many other paranormal experiences, and the philosophy he has developed towards paranormal investigations make him a fascinating speaker. He will begin traveling with the Haunted Survivors Tour in 2008 along with, John Zaffis, Denice Jones, and Carmen Reed.Steven also has a background in corporate training and is available for on-site training on developing working relationships within companies and how the “humanistic” approach to investigating the paranormal can be used to create a successful and enjoyable work environment.Steven is a Talk Show Radio Host and Executive Producer by day. He is a top notch interviewer that has been admired by some of the best. He also uses these skills on the paranormal radio show, The Paramigo's.Steven’s interest in the paranormal is a fluke. By all common standards he lived a perfectly normal life until he and his three children moved into an extremely haunted and dangerous house. This haunting is factual and has been well documented. Because this terrifying experience involved his own children, one way to get him quickly involved in an investigation is to tell him that there is a child involved. Based on his own life experiences, Steven doesn’t have to search for proof of the paranormal. He’s met it face-to-face.Steven is honored and proud to announce that he was recently added to "The League Of Paranormal Gentlemen."Steven is very happy to announce that he is now a proud member of Denice Jones, L.I.F.E. Foundation. L.I.F.E. is an acronym for Living In Fear Ends. Steven fully supports the ideas of the foundation and the assistance it provides to help those in paranormal need.ENTERTAINMENT AND PRODUCTIONFILM:Steven is one of the stars of the long awaited Booth Brothers documentary, "Children Of The Grave." He will also be featured in the upcoming production of, "Children Of The Grave 2, The Possessed."In 2006, Steven and his story of the Union House were featured on the season 3 opener of "A Haunting," the episode was titled, "Fear House."In early 2007, Steven was featured in, "The Otherside," a documentary by Exspirio Productions. His book about the Union Screaming House, "The Uninvited" is currently in negotiation for a major motion picture.STAGE:Steven has numerous stage credits with over a hundred various portrayals of characters and roles. He is equally comfortable in a play setting as in a musical.Steven has directed various productions throughout his career. Including, "Ashes, Ashes, We All Fall Down," a play with music based upon the terrible events that happened outside of The Who concert in 1978. He also directed a production of the controversial rape drama, "Extremities." Both productions being praised for Stevens innovation of the theatrical craft and staging.Steven has written numerous plays for the stage. He is currently in the process of rewriting two of his earlier works,"The House Of Grace," an apocalyptic look at the future when special interest groups gain control of the Country, and "Judy," a play with music that studies a young teens obsession with the legendary Judy Garland and his attempt to overcome a violent, abusive home.Steven is currently looking for the "right" location to produce, direct, stage, and star in Eric Bogosian's controversial play, "Talk Radio."LECTURES:Steven is an exceptional speaker and motivator. When he speaks, people listen. He is one of the most sought after speakers around today. On February 29, 2008, Steven along with John Zaffis, Denice Jones, and Carmen Reed, will premiere the "The Haunted Survivors Tour." This traveling paranormal event will discuss what it is like to live within an extreme haunting.Steven will be traveling all across the country speaking in the coming year of 2008. With the release of his book in early summer Steven will also be traveling to various book signings around the country, as well as, speaking at each of these stops as well.CONTACT:If you would like to contact Steven for inclusion in your project or event, please email him at:[email protected] DEVELOPMENT:In the summer of 2004 Steven established a paranormal investigative team that would eventually become known as Missouri Paranormal Research. The teams first goal in development was to serve those in paranormal need. After living through an extreme haunting, Steven found that there was a need for a serious client based group in his part of the country. On January 2, 2005, Missouri Paranormal Research was officially named and born. The groups goals and focus was based upon a concept written by Steven called, "The Humanistic Approach." This concept is still adhered to today and many other groups around the country have adopted its philosophies. In June of 2007, Steven unveiled his newest concept of the group with the announcement of The Paranormal Task Force. It became obvious to Steven that there needed to be separate divisions of the group to handle different type projects, issues, and cases. The Paranormal Task Force is an umbrella that covers everything from a research division, client based help, and various other needed departments. In July of 2007, Steven left The Paranormal Task Force after many days of soul searching. It became clear to him that he needed to rethink his ideas on how he wanted to serve the community. He decided that he wanted to be able to help more groups develop sound concepts and to lend his services with extreme hauntings to anyone or any group that needed him.Looking back, Steven led MPR and PTF to become one of the most highly respected teams working within the paranormal today. Steven understands the steps, the work, and the dedication involved in making that type of success a reality for a team. Steven is one of the most highly respected people in the paranormal today and continues to bring quality and innovation to the field not only for one team, but the entire community as a whole.Steven still today works very close with The Paranormal Task Force. He is proud of the accomplishments he was a major part of while the Administrator of the team and the accomplishments that are yet to come for them as well.Steven now turns his focus to help develop other great teams, as well as, to continue to teach the new ghost hunter through numerous ongoing ghost hunter workshops that he will continue to give throughout the Midwest with his partner in the workshops Greg Myers, the new Administrator of The Paranormal Task Force. If you are in need of help with the development of your team or group please contact Steven and he will be glad to help you. My Interests

May 17, 1993 was the day that sister my Janice died. We were only three years apart. We were very close. My sister taught me many things about life. Her last lesson to me would be how to grieve. There is a moment in your life when you look at your parents and see how vulnerable even fragile they are. The look of sadness on my Fathers face. The tears in my Mothers eyes. In one instant, they had aged twenty years and it scared the hell out of me.The hardest part has been to watch my three beautiful nieces grow up without my sister. At times, I see her in each of them. The way she walked, gestured, moved. The way she talked, laughed, and cried. I want to make sure that they know how wonderful thier Mother was. How will they ever know? We try to remind them as much as we can. And when those times come that I see my sister peeking out through thier eyes I understand that they do know her because they are a living part of her.The song below says it all. In the memory of my sister, Janice, and to three beautiful young women that I know she is very proud of.

I'd like to meet:

I have not had an easy life, but who has? All of us have had the good and bad things happen to us. These things shape the person we are today. The important thing is not to get bogged down by all of the negative things that we are constantly being bombarded with on a daily basis. And most importantly, to do our best to put positive things out there in the world. The paranormal community, like the world, is plagued by arguments, territorial issues, differences in beliefs. Instead of giving in to these attitudes, we should try to turn them around. We are our own worst enemy. We can be the most open mined group of people in the world and we can be the most narrow minded. "You only see what you eyes want to see. How can life be what you want it to be? Your frozen. When you hearts not open. " Embrace the things that make you who you are. Accept the things that you cannot control. And open your minds to new possiblilities.Madonna - Frozen

Add to My Profile | More VideosWorking in the theater during the late 80's and 90's was an experience beyond anything you can imagine. It was a grand magical time in musical theater. Overly large productions were the rule of the day. At this time, I met some very close friends that changed how I viewed the world. Roy the overly flamboyant bartender who was meant for the stage. He would use his bar night after night, playing his part in his strange one man show. Roy died of AIDS on Valentines Day one year. He was only 32. Mark who loved wigs and to entertain anyone that was near. We lost Mark as well. To name all of them would take pages. They were struck down with so much living left to do. Those were the best of times and the scariest of times. I stood in the middle of all of this craziness and I saw this modern day plague take some of the brightest, most talented people around me. They were my friends. And I miss them. Remember them young, alive, vibrant, and happy. This is their memory. May they remain forever young and may they remain forever in my mind and my heart.

One night in 1996, I came home from work to learn that my wife was leaving me and my three children. She had cleared out our checking account. She had been taking our bill money over a six month period, putting it away to make it possible for her to leave. My kids and I literally were left with the clothes on our backs and a few personal things. It was truly the lowest point of my life. When I hear the song below, it makes me think of those years of struggling to rebuild our lives. Times were hard, but we had each other.Landslide (Live 1997)
