Come on Down....

About Me

This is a random conglomeration of how I view myself, and what some of my friends have to say about me.
I'm originally from St. Louis, moved away for a decade, and have come back to a whole new world. I like it, I've just been having a difficult time adjusting.
I'm an optimistic-pessimist, a good girl with a wicked evil streak (or maybe a bad girl with a wicked good streak), and while being very out-going, I'm pretty shy.
I don't like to talk on the phone.
I have a unique perspective of life that I find impossible to explain to people.
I put cream cheese on my hamburgers.
I don't know how to ride a bicycle.
I make up my own words.
I am deathly afraid of most birds.
I can dish it out AND take it...as long as there is some wit behind it. I won't battle stupidity. It bores and frustrates me.
I hate the words "tat" and "ink" when people are referring to tattoos.
Nothing offends me.
I'm an irrationally-rational person.
I believe in EQUAL rights for all.
I live in my own bubble. It's a wonderful place. I let very few people in.
I don't take compliments very well (this is something I'm currently working on).
My mom was born in Germany. I'm a first generation, and shall be the only.
I ADORE Frank Sinatra.
I make fun of EVERYONE, including myself.
Not a big fan of the outdoors, except in small doses.
I'm a creature of habit.
My cat means more to me than anything else in the world.
I keep most of my pictures private.

My Interests

People-watching. Halloween. Shiny things. Ghoulies, ghosties, long-legged beasties and things that go bump in the night.

I collect a weird assortment of crap. Pretty much anything that catches my eye is fair game.
I send christmas cards to people I don't know.

I'd like to meet:

I DO NOT ACCEPT RANDOM FRIEND REQUESTS!!

When it comes to friends, it takes me awhile to consider someone to be a friend. I meet a lot of people. I have a lot of acquaintances, and very few friends.

I seek to spend my time with intelligent individuals who are open-minded, honest, can cook (I don't cook), and can hold a conversation.
If you like giving body massages, that is definitely a plus, as my back is in constant pain.
I'd like to meet more people who can enjoy themselves doing just about anything, including nothing.
Other smokers.
Others who embrace their nerdiness.
People who stand so tall that they can keep their feet on the ground and their heads in the clouds.
Those who would be cast to the Island of Misfit Toys.
I don't date men who have children.
Other night owls.
A guy who can have a conversation with me, and at least occasionally look me in the eyes.
Someone who can make me forget that myspace exists.

Television:

I use my television to watch movies. I was a tv junkie though.
I am a HUGE fan of the British comedy Black Books.

I enjoy watching Doctor Who and Torchwood.
Ali G, Family Guy, Law and Order, What's My Line?, I've Got a Secret, the Addams Family, Bewitched, the Young Ones, Muppet Show, My Name is Earl, Match Game, the Jetsons, 30 Days, The Avengers, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, 3-2-1 Contact, Electric Company, Heckle and Jeckle, Maude, All in the Family and the Twilight Zone are some of my favorite things on the idiot box.
I've never seen an episode of the Sopranos.
I've never seen an episode of Lost.

Books:

I grew up in a reading environment. My parents owned some sort of bookstore from the time I was a little kid until I was 18. I'm a big fan of Oscar Wilde, Thorne Smith, Phillip Barry, Kurt Vonnegut, Agatha Christie, Theodore Geisel (that's Dr. Seuss to you), Shel Silverstein, Edgar Allen Poe...Oh who am I kidding. I could sit here for hours typing out the names of authors who I have enjoyed reading over the years.
"If you are a dreamer, come in
If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar,
A hope-er, a pray-er, a magic bean buyer...
If you're a pretender, come sit by the fire
For we have some flax-golden tales to spin.
Come in!
Come in!"

What Your Soul Really Looks Like
You are a wanderer. You constantly long for a new adventure, challenge, or eve a completely different life.

You are a very grounded, responsible, and realistic person. People may not want to hear the truth from you, but they're going to get it.

You believe that people see you for how you are, not how you look. But deep down, you know that's not exactly true.

Your near future is likely to be filled with great successes and accomplishments. You just need to figure out how to get there.

For you, love is all about caring and comfort. You couldn't fall in love with someone you didn't trust. Inside the Room of Your Soul
