About Me

as it goes...I started playing guitar when I was about knee high to a grasshopper. I bought a 2 string acoustic guitar from my friend Aaron for 5 dollars. I messed around a bit on that while listening to the radio, trying to figure out what sounded right, where. My pops bought me my first set of strings and we went to the local public library and I rented a video which taught me the basic chords and such. Strum patterns and whathaveyou. I took the video back, and just evolved from there. I dicked around a bit with some boys from school, played some music, didn't really get too far. Just something to past the time really. I dropped out of high school during my senior year and around that time, I started really getting into "punk rock", ha. I was in bands such as A Crew Of Bearded Pirates, The Skidmarks.....................um, I probably dabbled a bit in the drums with a band called Menticide (my stint was very short lived, their drummer wasn't able to go on tour since he was still in high school, so......I drummed a bit, nothing major, needless to say, I didn't workout either). I also tried out playing drums for a band called Duct Tape Pussy, yeah........that didn't work either. I was kind of doing an acoustic solo thing, going by the name TURD, for awhile. I recorded a few things, but I have no idea where any of them are.....my friend Shane might, who knows. I moved to St. Louis, MO in 2000, I believe. Shortly upon arrival, I met a few kids who I started jamming with.......a few months later we would form the infamous, punk rock band, The Pubes, in which I played guitar and sang a bit. That went on for about a year and half or so. All I'm going to say is.....musical differences. I then ventured out on my own and started playing the open mic circuit...decent crowds. Had great times. During my open mic stint, I was asked to play bass for a skiffle-rock band called Long John Thomas and The Duffs. I had 3 days to learn every single bass line to their set list, and I did it. Our first show was 3 days after I had joined the band, and it went over very well. Again, that gig was short lived for me because I decided to "drop everything" and head out on the road. Now I'm back. Anything else you want to know..........just ask. everything here is to the best of my recollection. i don't want to be a liar. if anyone reads this and begs to differ, please just let me know.i'm always down for fellow musicians to join me in the making of beautiful melodies. want to jam on something or record some stuff or just kick it, hit me up.
