Into the Sitorimon

About Me

Some artists have an intimacy about them that leaves them baring all infront of an audience. You feel compelled to listen and connect with the emotional storms that brew up before you. Sitorimon is one of those artists.
A singer/songwriter from Harlow in Essex who is branching out into all new arena's of music, Sitorimon's music is a cross breed of many genres, periods of time and a mixture of many different cultures. Simon uses a keyboard base along with various percussive and melodic instruments from around the globe to piece together songs that transcend age and genre and as an artist, is hard to pigeon hole into just one box.
"You can never have enough inspiration" states Sitorimon. "People who dismiss other instruments, genres and languages really are cutting off fingers from their hands. Even if I don't particularly like a certain genre...many spring to mind... I still won't dismiss what the artists involved have to offer. If you don't open your eyes to everything sooner or later you'll run dry."
"I remember my first gig, I was a nervous wreck. Yet once I'd finished, and it was far from perfect, I felt so elated and giddy with all kinds of waves of feelings, I knew I'd found something I wanted to really delve into." Sitorimon's live act usually contains just himself an a keyboard but where available the plucked psaltery, hammered dulcimer, djembe and bongo's make apperances along with other more obscure instruments.
Sitorimon's live show is so important to him that Sitorimon's first full length bootleg release (following 2006's Foretold Demo's, an 8 track demo recorded in under two days as a small showcase) is to be a studio recreation of a live performance. Just Sitorimon, his keyboard and three microphones. This will be available in April.
Now Sitorimon is busy playing live in the Essex, Herts & London areas. If you would like to have Sitorimon play at your venue then please do send a message and i'm sure an arrangement can be made.
