Basser

About Me

I play bass. I sing. (Click on Clatter and Rosa Minstrels in my top friends, or do a search on YouTube). I live on 125 acres that we converted to a wildlife preserve but it still doesn't seem to be big enough. We converted the chicken house into a music studio using eco-friendly materials and since there's no one around except some neighboring cattle we can make as much noise as we want. I have degrees in French and Russian that I don't use at all…sorry, mom and dad! I'm fascinated by other people's realities.LOVEMYFLASH CODE

My Interests

Playing music. Speedminton, soccer, snowboarding, being outdoors, gardening. Movies. Cats and dogs. Frogs and birds. Bugs and butterflies. Popcorn. Espresso. The Climate Crisis.

I'd like to meet:

It's hard to know until you meet them. But I tend to be a recluse anyway, so I don't usually go out of my way to meet people. I wouldn't mind meeting Sam, the Amish farrier down the street.View All Friends | View Blog | Add Comment

Music:

Peepers, purring, meadowlarks, mockingbirds, Amish horses, rustling leaves, distant thunder, silence.

Movies:

I love to watch movies. Not real keen on romantic comedies or depressing dramas, though. I'm all about escapism. Faves are the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy and the "Star Wars" franchise, as well as "Serenity," "Donnie Darko," and "La Femme Nikita" (the original French version).

Television:

No.

Books:

I don't devote much time to reading anymore, but have enjoyed many books along the way. The great thing about having zero memory is that I can't remember any of them and can reread them as many times as I want without knowing what will happen! Sort of sad, really…Right now I'm reading "A History of the Amish" and just finished "Field Notes from a Catastrophe;" the latter is a must read for every human on the planet.

Heroes:

My big sister. Joe. Barbaloot. Samurai Jack.
