Influences: Javier Bermudez was born in Madrid (Spain). He started playing piano at the early age of four. Later he switched to double bass and started his studies in classical music at the “Conservatorio Arias Macein“ in Madrid.After changing the double bass for the 5-string electric bass guitar, Javier moved to Rotterdam where he is still studying latin and jazz music with Jeroen Vierdag and Peter Douma at the Codarts conservatory.He was as well studing arranging with Pedro Ojesto and worked with great flamenco musicians Fernando Anguita and José Miguel Garzon.Bermudez performed with international star Jorge Pardo (flute player from Paco De Lucia Sextet) and Eva de Dios.Bermudez showed his versatility in many styles such as:
brasilian funk band with "Balanza Pema“ (with keyboard player Peter Schon)latin jazz group "La Embajada“,the quintet "La razon" of latin and brasilian jazz,rumba-pop-rock band „Rayo y los trueno“ band winner of "Artistas en Ruta Tour" around Spain tour,electronic music in "Drum & Bass Interface"and he also collaborated in various cover bands and recordings. Nowadays is busy with MeriendaCena a flamenco-jazz band (watch the promotional video placed down).
