About Me

'BEFORE I KNOW OUT NOW!'
My shiny album is now available to buy for the tiny sum of £5-8! I am extremely, very, immensely, totally proud of this CD - it features my home grown acoustic tunes with the magic touch from Carl Keys.
Beautiful harmonies, simple melodies and many strange instruments make this the album I've always wanted to produce. If I was to describe it as a feeling, it'd be that lovely tingle you get when you feel the sun shine on you for the first time in Spring. If it was a smell, it'd be freshly cut grass. If it was a colour, it'd be a rainbow......you get the picture.

BIOGRAPHY
My name is Holly Taymar, I'm 21, I live in a castle in York and play acoustic jazz/folk for all you lovely innocent bystanders and hope you like it.
I write all my own material, I play acoustic guitar with my own style of finger picking. I get my inspiration from anything, a particular chord, or a pair of shoes - my songs are all very different and I like to think you've taken home a little piece of me after you hear me play! I love doing what I do. I wouldn't, I couldn't, have it any other way.
In 2003 I met GenieCake Records, and eventually signed to them in 2004 before the release of my first album Less Than Nothing. The first album had a very jazz/swingy feel - since then, I have developed as a songwriter and as a musician, writing mellow but quirky acoustic loveliness for your ears.
In August 2005 I released my self titled EP, featuring 6 original tracks. The first 100 were limited edition, painted, guillotined, sketched, and folded by me - have released 2 further editions since then. Check out my music video, made by the wonderful Paul Adshead, made in April 2006 in association with 20/20/02 and Artsstra.
