About Me
With a twelve year co-operation in song-writing and music-production involving English and German musicians this new Jazz-project is growing and moving towards a position in which improvised music is expresing more than the musicians themselves could have ever imagined.
This music project was born to highlight the bridges that exist between our different ways of living and believing. After talks about ethical, philosophical, and spiritual themes,over dinner the musicians usually sit down and start to jam. The musical pieces, which arise organically, are very strong in expression and enable the listener to picture the themes behind them.
Music as a spiritual expression does not deliver definitions. Therefore, it is a versatile medium for understanding each other and our differing cultures.
In todays political world this seems to be particularly necessary in the area of relations between Christians and Muslims. This area is addressed in the CD booklet. where there are, for each of the tracks, refrences to quotations from both the Bible and Koran, in order to make the thoughts of the musicians more transparent to the listener and to show the commonality in both religions.
