Undercaste Studios is dedicated to the art of recording, mixing and mastering Hip Hop and R&B. The studio works hand in hand with Undercaste Productions to create the best sounding tracks in the Northwest. The studio slogan Where Musicians Record Musicians can define the roll of Isaac Meek, founder and creator of Undercaste, who believes an engineer should participate in and understand music to truly achieve the best sound. Recording commercial quality vocals are not as simple as it sounds and relies heavily on many different factors. Half of these factors may be technical and the other half might need the skill or creativity of an educated musician. While some musicians are experienced in the studio most need the guidance of a fellow musician who has the knowledge of studio etiquette. Undercaste Studios provides this along with the standard commercial quality equipment of today. The studio is based around a huge ProTools digital audio workstation that caters to the most complex tracking and mixing sessions. With over 60 tracks of 24 bit recording/playback, unrivaled effects processing power and high quality microphones/preamps an artist wont be limited in any way. While nice equipment can make a recording studio look nice, the professional sound of Undercaste Studios comes from the knowledge to use it flawlessly. The mix down process is equally important to the recording/tracking process and is well respected. Many local and national artists have come specifically for the mix down that engineer Isaac Meek provides. Along with mixing, Undercaste Studios provides mastering; the step that completes the product and allows it to compete with todays standard sound.

Undercaste Producer BIO
Isaac Meek was born in Seattle, WA 1978, raised near Mecca, CA and then returned to Seattle in 1990. He began to love music at a young age influenced by the predominantly Hispanic population in and near Mecca, CA. The Latin feel can still be heard in his production today.
He began his music profession as a young teen by performing with and recording artists of many styles. In his mid teens, 1995, he built a Seattle based recording studio called Undercaste Studios and began to create and record his own music along with his studio clientele. The Undercaste Studios slogan was Where Musicians Record Musicians because he felt like only a musician could know how a musician could feel and want to sound. Throughout high school Isaac Meek was very involved in the school music programs. When he was a junior he took over as a teacher of the high school guitar classes and participated heavily in the school symphony as an upright bass player. He entered several Guitar Center Drum offs and placed within the top three with his aggressive funk drumming. While running Undercaste Studios, Isaac Meek enrolled in 5 years of college music and business courses in 1997. In 2000 he began to sell his music production and producing services as Undercaste Production to the hip hop and R&B communities.
In 2001 he began developing select hip hop and R&B artists by teaching music fundamentals, music business and discipline. He focused Undercaste Studios and Undercaste Production on his niche in the hip hop/R&B genres and gained the reputation of the best sound and showing tough love when developing and recording artists. Isaac Meek works with and has a substantial role in the making of many North West artists. Many artists are a direct representation of his production, recording and development. With these and many other artists his main role is producer and beat producer.
You can hear artists such as Twista, Kurupt and Wingo of Jagged Edge featured on his beat production. He has produced hit singles on radio stations such as KUBE 93.3 FM and X104.5 FM.
In 2004 Isaac Meek partnered up with Ken Adams aka KNDNM and began the making of a music group called Undercaste Music. He now runs these Undercaste companies with help of his team and continues to look for new artists and ventures to help grow his lifes work.
