I’m not interested in being a “lover.” I’m interested only in being love. - Ram Dass

About Me

MySpace Layouts
Virtual Sim GameI grew up in a very small town in Louisiana moved around a bit then decided to settle in Arizona (at least for now). I'm currently working as a nurse in a psychiatric hospital. I love what I do and those with whom I do it! My main focus in life is my spirituality. It's almost an obsession, this longing to know the force that created us. I know that may sound a bit flaky, but I'm anything but (at least that's what I think!). I read ALOT and listen to audios when the opportunity presents itself (or I make one). I love to learn and just absorb knowledge. I know I'm making myself sound like a nerd, but I'm not, believe me, my friends can vouch for that...unless...they're not telling me something...hmmmm...Ok, again, I digress, I have two beautiful and loving cats, Nitten and Petey Wheatstraw. We all get along like one big family and spend much time playing and loving on each other. They're my built in 24/7 entertainment! I've been a nurse for almost 10 years and before that did a variety of jobs, not the least of which was working in a Penitentiary as a Correctional Officer. Not my favorite, but I learned soooo much and was able to touch and be touched by many. I'm grateful still...A reformation of our prison systems is desparately needed! I seem to have a very strong intuitive side which can be challenging at times for various reasons. It makes some people uncomfortable.I'm just me. I'm very down to earth once you get to know me. I'm kinda shy at first most times, until I get a good "feel" for ya then I loosen up and the real Mark comes out. I've studied and practiced Tarot and numerology for years and am currently egrossed in psychic mediumship. It's really been an incredible ride! I also seem to be able to facilitate healing in some who are willing to be healed and ask for it. I've only recently begun to charge, due mostly to the encouragement of others to do so. I just love being able to be of service in that way and would never turn away someone in need for lack of funds! I've recently begun to do readigs as well and am constanly amazed at what spirit brings through! Oftentimes, I'm just as astonished as the person I reading for! I'm currently looking for more "victims" LOL and am looking forward to doing more readings as well! BTW...My friend Janet B. recently opened a Healing/Learning Center in Mesa, AZ. If you are in the area, stop by, it's at 1005 E University Dr. It's a beautiful, peaceful little center where you can get a reading or have a relaixing reiki sessing. Just tell htme Mark sent ya! That's enough for now, you want to know more, you can always drop me a line. In the meantime, thanks for reading this far, InJoy, Mark

My Interests

As I mentioned, I love to read, listen to music and audiobooks, have fun, be around my friends (what few I have), talking to animals, figuring out what makes people tick, helping others to shift their perceptions.

I'd like to meet:

That's a tough one...I've actually met ALL the people I look up to and those who have changed my life (those that are still alive, at least)ie, Marianne Williamson, Caroline Myss, Gary Zukav, just to name a few. I feel very blessed in this regard. Other than my heroes, I like to meet and make friends with anyone who isn't out to use or hurt me. I like to meet people who through our meeting and subsequent friendship, bring more light and love into this world. Or should I say, bring more of an awareness of these things into the world and lives of those sharing this planet with us. It's all here already, we just need to open our eyes to see it! You see what you choose to see."I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life..." Deut. 30:19The choice is yours...

Music:

Pretty much anything, esp. if it lifts my spirit or makes me think.

Movies:

The Lady In The Water (newest favorite), Resurrection(w/Ellen Burstyn), My Life, Fried Green Tomatoes, The Dark Crystal, Psycho, Marnie or pretty much anything by Hitchcock, City of Angels, Tokyo Godfathers, Old Boy (a shocking Korean tale!)Pan's Labyrinth **** I love horror movies but am a bit put off by the new breed that seems to have taken over the genre (Saw, High Tension, Wolf Creek, etc...) What happened to leaving things to the imagination, movies that were carried by the acting as well as the story, ie, Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho", or "Marnie". Anyways, there are still some good one's out there, but again, it's a matter of opinion...

Television:

Third Rock From the Sun (hilarious and insightful), South Park, Oprah, all those home makeover shows, anything with a positive and uplifting storyline or message.Oh, Medium is my new favorite...getting it through Netflix season by season,{ I can't stand to wait and dread catching up to the current season}

Books:

Wow! That's a tuff one! Any and all of the sacred texts, (The Koran, The Baghavad Gita, The Bible, The Ramayana, The Torah, The Dead Sea Scroll, etc..) Anatomy of the Spirit by Caroline Myss, anything and everything by Alan Cohen, Real Magic, You'll See It When You Believe It, There's a Spiritual Solution To Every Problem, and Wisdom of the Ages by Wayne Dyer, A Return To Love by Marianne Williamson, The Spirit of a Man by Iyanla VanZant, books by or about George Anderson, John Edward, and Echo Bodine or any of the above listed people including Bo Lozoff and last but far far from least my guru, Ram Dass

Heroes:

Yesua(Jesus), Ram Dass, Mohondas Gandhi, Caroline Myss, Padre Pio, St. Francis, St. Therese of Liseux, my mom, dad and sister, Marianne Williamson, my dear friend Katherine Gorsha

Gone From My Sight - A beautiful way to look at "death"
