I gave away everything I owned except what fit in my car and moved to Phoenix in July of '06 to pursue a .... career? .... as a stand up comedian. (Though, I think careers actually provide a salary and I don't get that ... yet.) I work a regular job. I live in my sister's 'casita' which is Spanish for 'garage'. It's really a cozy environment and I'm very happy here. It doesn't take a lot of 'stuff' to please me. It doesn't take anything to please me! I'm always happy!
I love doing stand up comedy. I've performed at The Comedy Spot, Chilly Bombers, Hidden House, Tempe Improv, WildCard, Arizona Joe's, an RV park (for real!) in Arizona City, Mountain View, Almagorda NM, The Laugh Factory in L.A. and Laff's in Tucson. Oh yeah! And three minutes at a cute place in Lafayette, Louisiana!
Seven people call me 'mom' but I only had to give birth to two of them! The others were part of the package when I married my second husband and though we're no longer married, they're still my kids. I am a granima 12 times and I'm really good at being that! That's the hardest part of being here ... they're NOT! My children and grandbabies live in East Tennessee, Louisiana and Missouri. I miss them but I absolutely LOVE the Phoenix area.
