Plastic East

Plastic East is a traveling rock trio. Their sound can only be described as paying homage to rock & roll's very short history. Made up of Glen Bingham, Mike East and Samantha West, Plastic East is based out of Brooklyn and have toured as far as California. They are known for their raucous live show which promises fun danceable sing alongs overlayed with wailing guitar solos and a spontaneity which few bands possess. They have four studio efforts all of which have been released on a minor scale off of their own label Knife City Records. Their latest self titled EP was the result of taking up an offer for free studio time at American University in Washington, DC. The end product became five songs which showcase their ability to capture melodies and beats and turn them into living organisms. When one listens to this disc, it is apparent that this band has a soul.
