I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Single/separated mother of 3 fab teen boys (see my pics), soi-disant Canadian contest queen, moth to the flame that is Canadian indie music, legendary insomniac and workaholic. I'm presently working 1-2 jobs a day, 7 days a week, so those seeking an IM chat-partner will have to look elsewhere...I'm just too busy!I'm unduly flattered by the alarming number of marriage proposals but, seriously, fellows....I'm very happily single, and I'm chiefly here for the music and to reconnect with old friends from my past with whom I've lost contact over the decades. In the context of my various jobs, I meet dozens of new people every week, and somewhere among them might well be my next life-partner, but I simply don't have the time or inclination to pursue love....I trust it will find me. And even if it doesn't, no matter, it's a sweet ride, all the same. But thanks for your interest...your kind words make me go to bed with a smile on my face.

My Interests

Contesting, Canadian indie music, weight-lifting, fitness, pop culture, word-play, psychic phenomenon, First Nations culture, wicca, ragtime music, Dilbert, chocolate, Gary Larson, crop circles, UFO theories, 911 conspiracy theories, YouTube (my guilty pleasure - I've watched the OK GO Treadmill Dance 100 times).

I'd like to meet:

My long-lost companion, Jean Tzyy Long Yeh, former Aide to the Economic Minister of Taiwan, my dearest friend at the University of Windsor who I have been looking for, for over 25 years. Last known to reside in California, 1982. ANYONE knowing his whereabouts, PLEASE ask him to contact me. Love and miss you, Jean.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I have been inexplicably and alarmingly inundated with all manner of, er, *propositions*, since joining MySpace this month (and not a few were rude, presumptuous and offensive), and just wanted to make it clear that I assert my right to reply to sincere and polite missives, exclusively. Otherwise, we are wasting each other's time. I am NOT specifically looking for a romantic partner (though I don't discount that it could happen online, but I'm not holding my breath, either), but even IF I were, I maintain these personal rules (and if they seem severe, well, I plead self-protection):No picture/no reply. If you are over 40, I probably won't reply. If you live outside of central Ontario, you'll be hard pressed to convince me that we have a future together, whatever else your heart, or psychic advisor, might be telling you. SPELLING COUNTS! Sorry, but I taught English too long to NOT be distressed by common errors or laziness. Creative use of language, on the other hand, is strongly encouraged. Poetry? Bonus! I do NOT do instant messaging, unless I elect to do so. I have NO interest in idle chatter. NO means NO. If I tell you I'm not interested in pursuing a romantic interlude with you, move on, please. I will block you if you insist on sending entreating or threatening emails. Please don't ask me for money for dubious charities, do not solicit my subscription to MLM schemes or scams. My hair colour is natural, and does not come out of a box, so don't ask. Communicate with me the way you'd want to be responded-to. If you use expletives with me, I'll return the favour in spades. To sum up, in two words: BE NICE!
