Jax has been DJing for over 12 years with his motivation been geared solely towards the music rather the money and credentials.
During his time at University in Liverpool Jax was inspired by DJ's such as Dave Clarke, Ralph Lawson plus his all time favourite label 'Warp Records' The up and coming Drum & Bass movement with the likes of LTJ Bukem and the Metalheadz label were also heavily influencing Jax's diverse sets. From there Jax upped sticks and moved to London to hook up with the Wide Collective where he played at many venues across the city.
Now residing in his home city of York, Jax is part of the Freakin set-up A crew of like minded DJ's who organise regular events in and around the city. Freakin has played host to the likes of the Inland Knights, Paul Woolford, Tim Wright, Vector Lovers, Bionic Bump Band, The Littlemen, Murray Richardson and Cosmic Groove Transmission of late and host a monthly party at Cert18 in York along with away sessions in London and Leeds.
Jax also Set-up and run's the Freakin Radio station on the internet.
This has meant the upkeep of a schedule that is growing by the week. He also hosts his own show - 'Warm Earz Chronicles', Where he gets the chance to delve into the musical taste he doesn't normally get the opportunity to play.
Freakin have also showcased live electronic acts and Freakin Radio DJ's at an intimate venue in York. Where guests have include Namke communications & Robokid (iwari.com), Simon Harrison (Basic Soul Radio), Monofonix (Djax) and Turnamuffin (Vital Sounds)
From working in record shops for over seven years Jax has gained a very broad taste in music for which his wallet has certainly paid the price!
