Michael Papazois a.k.a. Mike Polar was born in Ioannina, Greece in November of 1979.
He took his first steps in music at the age of 5, when he started taking lessons of classic music in a private school.
He studied harmony, history of music, morphology of music and instrumentalism graduating with high scores from the music Gymnasium and Lyceum and also the ability of playing 5 music instruments
After he finished his music studies, then he started collecting vinyl..s and experimenting with electro music.
Orbital, Underworld, Aphex Twin, Autechre and also Future Sound of London were the main influences that formed his own music style.
In 1997 he started his own radio show in town..s number 1 radio station NRGfm , (101.5) His unique music talent didn..t go unnoticed and soon he became one of the hottest radio producers in Ioannina despite his age. One year he later took 4th place on the DMC local Championship.
His music experience and experimenting with electro music soon led him into production.
In 2000 he decided to fly away from Greece and into Germany for broadening his music knowledge and experience by gigging with some of the biggest names in dance stage, such as: Tobi Neumann, Claude Young, Joe Montana, Milk&Sugar and many more.
He DJed for many Clubs in Germany like Mach1, Parkcafe, Z-bau, Hirsch Now he is based in N..rnberg, Germany working as a DJ/ producer/ creative consultant. In the year 2005 he has entered in the Portugese agency Heart & Soul as a DJ.
Requests for Mike Polar went rapidly high because of his good taste of spining. In this year had played in many gigs in Amsterdam - Netherlands , several cities of Poland, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia and Portugal.
Also he is the first Greek Dj how has played in South Africa at the best clubs of that origin. Now he is corporating with Heart & Soul for those gigs and also with some established organizations in Amsterdam like Ex Porn Star and Crazyland.
