Tessa Mendoza

Tessa Mendoza, 18 graduated from Prescott High School, in Prescott, AZ in May of 2007. In the late summer of 2007 Tessa packed up her bags and made her long journey from that small town in Arizona to Music City! Tessa was born in Pasadena, California, but moved to Arizona with her mother and four brothers as a child, which is where her and her family have lived ever since. Her dream of being a singer/songwriter has been with her since she was a child. Growing up, Tessa learned from her brothers, Chris, Phillip, Adrian and Patrick, all of which are very musically inclined. Since her life revolved around music, Tessa began writing her own lyrics and singing at a very young age. For the past year she has worked with a voice teacher in California, by the name of Liz Wooten. As a solo artist, Tessa has been working hard to make music that all people can enjoy, and taking things that she has learned from artists that inspire her such as, Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, Josh Groban and Neil Diamond. Her style of music has come from many different inspirations but most of it comes from deep within her heart and soul and from personal experience. Not only does Tessa have a passion for music, she also has a passion for dancing. She is a teacher/choreographer. In her spare time she teaches hip-hop, ballet, Latin, jazz, tap and various other types of dancing styles. In her young age she has accomplished many things. She gets her support from friends and family, especially her brothers and most of all her mother, who she couldn't have done anything without.
