About Me

What is Newgrass? Well, it might not be easy to explain in words, but Haley defines it on her debut album, The Mystery of Her. Born on May 2, 1982 in Jacksonville, FL, Haley has always had the desire to sing. As a little girl, traveling with her father, Fingerstyle Guitarist, Doyle Dykes, Haley would always jump at the opportunity to sing for everyone, so much that Doyle even wrote Haley a special song to sing, I Might Be Little, But I Gotta Lotta Jesus In Me. She stole the hearts of every audience and congregation to the degree that people requested Doyle bring Haley for all future events.
At the age of 11, Haley picked up a mandolin and hasn't put it down since. Her vocals, accompanied by her mandolin playing, are what make Haley, Haley. You'll find on her debut album that she has a true love for our Savior, Jesus Christ. Her heart is imminent in sharing that love with everyone, in hopes that they will also love Christ and experience what love truly is.
From churches, to theatres, to the BBC, and even the Grand Ole Opry, you'll find Haley sharing her music with others. It's a life-long dream... and she's driven to fulfill it.
