About Me
Chuck Bittle of Orange County, California has incorporated a variety of styles to his own compositions.
Chuck is often asked, but can never reply with a straight or firm answer,
"who is your favorite guitarist"..... "who is your influence"?
As a child, programmed with folk, country, western, easy listening and 60's & 70's rock, Chuck began playing the guitar at the age of 13 and applied those styles into his studies. After 2 years in a private guitar class he began writing. About that time he was influenced by rock bands such as Heart, Ted Nugent, Aerosmith, Led Zepplin, Kiss, Journey and so on. Chuck's playing advanced again in the late 80's by being influenced by some of the best rock and classical guitarists Eddie Van Halen, Randy Rhoads, Neal Schon, Andres Segovia, Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai and so on. In the 90's he was introduced to some of the hottest blues rock players, (Walter Trout, Bugs Henderson, etc.) It wasn't until the turn of the century when Chuck fell into the light of the flamenco & fingerpicking styles of Anthony Gabriel, Paco De Lucia, Ottmar Liebert, Armik, Sabicas, Greg Coleman and Doyle Dykes.
With the background of styles in Chuck's roots, he has developed a unique style of playing the guitar.
After 10 - 15 years playing Orange County & Los Angeles County venues with cover and original bands (Steel Blue, Road Party, Richie and the Rockerarms, West Coast Strayz) he decided to apply his roots with his own project which was released February 2008.
