Corrupt The Righteous was formed in Las Vegas, Nevada in August 2003 by Mike Simpson (guitars), Chad Peters (drums), and Darrin Wong (vocals). Struggling to find a bassist, Corrupt The Righteous played as a three piece for 2 years until Jerry Wright (Parathion, Vicious Cycle) stepped in to fill the long empty void. Their sound is a mixture of thrash, groove, black and death metal as well as other ecclectic influences. Known for their wild stage presence and hell-raising attitude, Corrupt The Righteous recorded a full length CD late 2007 and unfortunately lost two founding members first with Darrin at the end of ’07 then with Chad in early March ’08. They have since recruited Landon (Gorgeous Frankenstein, Ultravulture, Avalon Dies) and are in the middle of reinventing and refining their sound while writing a whole new album to showcase the material, which the band feels is some of its strongest to date. They still need a new drummer though, so if you think you can hang drop the band a line through MySpace.
