Kunstwerk out June 1st!

About Me

I'm van Grieken. I fuck with sound. I started doing so sometime around the year 1988 when I formed Pale Creation with some friends from Cleveland's east side. I formed Feedbag 15, with the man only to be named as H, in '93. Feedbag 15 released "The Low Cost Of The Unalterable Ugly" LP in '94. Then we went on with our lives. I managed to stay busy throughout the years recording experimental music while playing in other bands. Those bands include: Whatever..., Driving By Braille, The Amazing Charlie Baker Boys, Women In Prison, Feedbag (not Feedbag 15) and countless other no-named projects. I released my first solo cd of previously recorded experimental music, titled "Audio Psychosis", in '06. Feedbag 15 reformed at the end of '07 and is currently working on a reunion cd due out soon! I can also be found playing bass in the stoner rock band called Friends of the Bureau. I've been working hard to release my second solo cd, a two disc set titled "Kunstwerk", due out June 1st. Also due out June 1st is a cd of out-takes and general silliness not found on "Kunstwerk". That release is titled "For Every Affirmative Action There Is An Equal, Yet Opposite, Affirmative Reaction" (or FEAATIAEYOAR for short). All recordings will be released on various indie labels across the globe. Need a copy of something? Let me know. Please visit the myspace music profiles for Feedbag 15, Friends of the Bureau, & feedbag15.com. Thanks for listening. Thanks for allowing me to steal your time.

A blog about religion.

There are two things you should never discuss at a bar. Politics and religion. I got hit with them both last night. I'll save politics for my next blog, but I feel I should touch on the religion topic...

Todays lesson: Real life and the Image of Real Life.

I'm thinking of the song, "Photographs Lie", by Shelter. They really do. When I would look through magazines as a small child, I used to think there must be a magical world somewhere where everything ...

Lets not be mistaken.

Does your father drift from one hobby (or project) to another, fruitlessly seeking a meaningful way to spend what little time he has away from work? Does your mother endlessly re-decorate the house, g...

How I met the worlds only black leprechaun.

While on tour, we played with Shelter in Denver, Co. After the show I was loading gear into the van and saw the only black leprechaun singing his song and doing his dance in the parking lot of the clu...
