Hello. My name is Jaymz. "Evil" Jaymz to folks who know me. I started this page for myself and my friends. You see, we, the members of various bands in the Gulf Coast Underground, get together, usually on Friday Nites, to play some music and have a little get-together.
Well, it's kinda grown beyond that. We played a gig on May 20th 2007 for a memorial Day party at Gallery Billiards. It was fun, and we'd like to do more. Our respective bands are very important to us, but more importantly, we want to play music, have a good time and entertain our friends as well as ourselves.
So now I'd like to welcome you to the World of the Gulf Coast Underground All-Stars. Also Known as the Gulf Coast Under Cover.
First things first, let's define what exactly is considered to be the "Gulf Coast". By my definition, it's the area from just north of New Port Ritchie to just south of Naples. I know what you're probly thinkin'..."But Evil J, isn't the panhandle of Florida, as well as Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and of course Texas located on the Gulf of Mexico?" Well, of course they are!! What am I, stupid?
The thing is, we're based out of the Sarasota/ Bradenton area, as well as most of the Tampa/ St. Petersburg Metro. We will always welcome out of town bands from areas such as Orlando, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, and even Jacksonville. And also any band that likes to come down from any region and rock out with us. We're friends with anyone who wants us.
So go ahead. Add us. We don't bite...much.
We consider Gallery Billiards (located at 1925 Northgate Blvd in Sarasota, FL) to be our home away from home. So drop on by anytime, you just might see one of us hangin' out drinkin' with our friends!
Now, there won't be any blogs written for this site, that won't involve non-GCU All-Star news. But I wiil go ahead and plug my own personal blog, cuz I'm that much of an attention whore. So please check it out and subscribe. Apparently, I'm pretty funny.
