BloodStained Dusk, hailing from Huntsville, Alabama. Our latest release is "Continuance of Evil," completed in 2003. Our uncompromising dedication to the black metal underground has kept our flames burning for several years now. Our first two releases "Thy Legions Reign Over Christendom" demo and "Dirge of Death's Silence"our first full length on Baphomet /Necropolis carved a distinctive niche for us in the USBM scene. We need not fall victims to superficial trends or flashy gimmicks as our goal has always been to play dark, artistic compositions until our last breaths! Unfortunately that is exactly what happened for one of our founding members. In early 2005 Dageth (guitar/vocals) was tragicaly taken from us in a horrific traffic accident. The final album that was written with dageth will be recorded later this year and dedicated to him and his quest to bring the blackest and most evil music possible upon this world. The final opus is entitled "Black Faith Inquisition" and will be available through Black Flame Records soon. Nothing will prepare you for the onslaught that will ensue, but you will all face the inquisitors in their quest to rid this world of all light and life alike!

..The Blood Stained Dusk sound is like no other USBM. It
captures unique, majestic and somber moods with
brimstone and fire ritual lyrics. The atmosphere is raw
and menacing at times while epic and warlike at
others. The music was originally fired by inspiration
from Norwegian and other European Black Metal but by
all means stands alone and is powerfully reconciled as
its own entity in USBM. Blood Stained Dusk started out
in 1997 with the demo tape version of Thy Legions
Reign Over Christendom. A powerful EP of epic
proportions, this cult classic to USBM fans abroad
and spread throughout the underground as a very
limited pressing. Anyone who has the demo tape has
acquired something that is very rare. Lance Gifford of
the Ultima Compratio zine sent the demo to Necrophagia
mastermind, Killjoy, of the US label Baphomet Records.
The demo was then released on CD by Red Stream.
Killjoy took special interest in the band and followed
up by releasing Dirge of Death's Silence in March of
2001 through Baphomet/Necropolis Records which was
also followed by a rerelease by Red Stream. Blood
Stained Dusk has gone through a few lineup changes
since the first demo but guitarist/vocalist Dageth
(Patrick Panter) and drummer Profana persisted with
the next phase. Bassist Oroan joined prior to the
recording sessions for Dirge of Death's Silence in
2001. After the "Dirge" release Blood Stained Dusk
recruited Thorgrin ..s. The four did many shows
all over the country supporting the "Dirge" release
which included the (year)Milwaukee Metal Fest. This
was the year that Limbonic Art, Zyklon, and Gorgoroth
headlined while Killjoy came out to support the band.
Also BSD did the Indianapolis End of Days Fest, the
Sacrifice the Nazarene Child Fest in Texas and many
more shows in the states. Blood Stained Dusk pounded
its way through multitudes of shows and through thick
and thin stayed together bound in brotherhood fighting
for its cause. The band took its sound everywhere from
coast to coast and to Mexico. A tour with death metal
legends, Monstrosity, in 2002 took the band to a new
live level and to places that the epic summoning had
never been unleashed. On the road the band faced
relentless crowds of people who were very familiar
with the music and were very much die-hard black metal
and Blood Stained Dusk supporters. These people were
on the same level of understanding as far as the
musical direction and what the Blood Stained Dusk
sound and aura was all about. In 2004 Blood Stained
Dusk started the underground metal label Black Flame
Records. The bands release of the same year was titled
Continuance of Evil. It contained songs such as
Purified By Steel and Inquisition and Rentum Tormentum
which is inspired by a witch's chant from the
Middle-Ages. This album as all of the early BSD albums
were recorded at Soundworks studios which neighbored
a magick shop owned by the same people as the studio.
Its ritual power is significant in how the band drew
from this relative purposeful endeavor. Blood Stained
Dusk was a band that constantly rehearsed and worked
for its ending goal night after night with a very
directed intention on how it was to be delivered and
perceived. So much that music from the yet to be
released "Black Faith Inquistion" album was written
prior to 2004's "Continuance of Evil". It was just
known amongst the band that this material had to be
perfected before recording. It was to be the most
important BSD release to date. On January 24th of
200, Dageth, guitarist and vocalist for Blood Stained
Dusk, was killed in a car accident. His death is
shocking to this day and a huge tragedy in the eyes of
all who knew him. The band had plans to go into the
studio and record its next full-length, Black Faith
Inquistion in March of 2005. This was approximately
two months after Dageth was killed. This was a
devastating blow to the band's progression. There has
been much to think about for the members of Blood
Stained Dusk in whether or not to follow through with
the final album. The band only wants this black metal
to be heard as it was intended by Dageth as much as
possible to continue the tradition of style and
vision. There were demos recorded of the Black Faith
Inquisition material which were recorded at rehersals
when the material was written but being perfected.
Oroan moved to guitar fom bass and worked out the
material on stringed instruments with Thorgrin whom
also moved to guitar. The two will still do their own
original intruments as well for the final recording.
As willful souls with a fire burning within, the
remaining members feel that the powerful and dark
endeavor should be maintained and its mark should be
delivered through the final Blood Stained Dusk album,
Black Faith Inquisition. The band and its supporters
feel that the material is too strong to be left
dormant and also that Dageth would want to let it be
heard. In total dedication to their fallen comrade,
Blood Stained Dusk will unleash this final album. The
timely process of picking up the pieces of the music
that were lost from Dageth's sudden and unexpected
death has past. The band will industriously achieved
this sense of closure for themselves and their
brother. He mainly lived for his vision of Blood
Stained Dusk and the and intends to represent all of
the energies envolved with this final album. The
remaining members of Blood Stained Dusk have put
together an annual festival in honor of Dageth called
Hellfire Manifest where all of the locals and others
from different places can gather and remember the dead
for a black metal gathering. At the 2006 Hellfire
Manifest Blood Stained Dusk reunited for the tribute
festival. On vocals the band recruited
Gorgoroth/Obtained Enslavement vocalist, Pest. He is
a comrade of the band and has agreed to take part.
Pest will also be handling vocal duties on the final
album in place of the Dageth as well. The legions of
supporters of the Hellfire Manifest and Blood Stained
Dusk are greatly hailed in the eyes of the band. Blood
Stained Dusk wishes to give ourselves and these people
piece of mind in knowing that one final and complete
mark will be left in the name of Blood Stained Dusk!exerpt of lyrics from "Rebirth of the Wretched (I Live
Again)" on 2004's Continuance of Evil"Foul and tainted is my spiritAching, Suffering, Death of AgesLife Circling, CirclingReborn again and againWill it ever end?Am I dead forced to live?Poisonous elixir I consumeShamanic trance envelopsTraveling the wheel visions overcomeI open the gateway to the netherrealmFlying above my creationI unlock doorways of the pastThe past so old, yet so familiarDecrepit ruin of stone castle walls around meAn iron fence encases a graveBust of stone carrying my faceIs this my grave? Am I to live again?I have arisen from grave to wreak havoc upon this
worldI will never cease! My wretched soul that which lives nor diesHas lived again!
