Not sure if I'd say hero, but Quorthon has made a big impact on my life over the years. I didn't get into Black Metal through Bathory, but even after hearing so many bands Bathory was just so sincere in its delivery, more than most. Not only is Bathory one of my favorite bands of any genre, Quorthon's self titled solo project (especially the Purity of Essence album) was also something that stood out from the rest. I have the utmost respect for Bathory and Quorthon as a person especially. I did not know him, but I feel that through his music I know him well. R.I.P. brother, you're flame will never be extinguished.
