Shadows Of Sin

The Bio hmm How and where do we start? Well Shadows Of Sin Was Conceived in the Early Spring of 2006 BY Damien VonDusk, then known as Count VinterFaust, as a old school raw black metal Project Called Frost Throne. During the first few months Three demos were written and Recorded in rapid succession. First one being entitled Frozen Wastelands.This was recorded poorly and the quality reminded one of old French Black Legions demos.There were two original songs and two covers on this recording. "Frozen Wastelands" and "Winter Moon" were the two originals and were in the styles of Immortal and Dark Throne.The lyrical themes were of Winter and Nocturnal Mysticism.The Two Covers Were Dark Throne's "Quintessence" and Dark Funeral's "Open The Gates". The other two demos were Entitled Vinterfaust and Verde av Frost Herren. The Track Titles were lost.
By the Summer of 2006 Count VinterFaust wanted to take Frost Throne to the Live Performance level and enlisted the Help of Wargoat from Plagueweilder.Wargoat took on the Drums and The Count on Guitar and Vocals. Two Shows were done in this time frame. One at Backroads in Beckley Wv and the other at Hellstock 06.After these two shows Frost Throne fell off the radar for a little while.
In the Winter of 2006 Frost Throne had returned.This time with a fully completed line up.

Writing was going on for a new record at the time. An actual full length was being planned and the processes had started in Writing it. During the writing sessions Vulture left the band for Personal Reasons outside the band.With Vulture's departure Balthazar moved over to bass temporarily until new bassist could be found. and the "Black Winter" Sessions had begun. Unfortunately Balthazar does not appear on the recording of this recording due to a typo and He would go uncredited if he did play bass on the record.
After the record was completed in the beginning of 2007, The trio went on a several weekend Mini Tour. This tour was called "Black Winter Rising 07" and spanned from Morgantown to Huntington and everywhere else in between and finally climaxing at Jaxx Nightclub. Balthazar could not make the this night so David Pentagram of the band Darkness Impaled offered bass for the show. More shows were booked but an emergency appendix surgery laid Wargoat off the kit and the rest of the tour was scrapped.
After the tour all of the members of Frost Throne decided a long break would be healthy and conducive for the creativity for the next record.So for the Remainder of the Summer everyone went off to pursue other musical endeavors and they would return in the fall of 2007.
In mid October of 2007 the band Reconvened to start writing the follow up to black winter.Incensed and renewed the band went through some drastic musical changes.They wanted to really blow fans away with the musical ability of a fuller line-up.The Count underwent a name change to break away from the cheesy image they were associated with.As well the band decided to change the name of the band to really further the chance to be taken seriously.They decided on Shadows Of Sin at the advice of the head of Blast Zone entertainment.Who wanted to distribute their follow up to "Black Winter".The Count now known as Damien VonDusk,agreed that the music needed more to further the seriousness of the band. The Line up now consisted of:

Lecter Rhuul - Keyboards
David Pentagram - Drums
In Late December David Left The band to pursue other musical Interests.The Band wishes him luck in Future Endeavors.Shadows Of Sin Consists now of:

Lecter Rhuul - Keyboards
Lecter Rhuul left the band in late January due to personal reasons outside the band.A session musician recorded keys on the "Lust For Night" demo by the name of C.Offin.
In Late February Balthazar left Shadows of Sin on his own accord.The life of touring and writing took time away from his family.The band are still good friends with him.In his wake two new members were added to the Line up giving them a fuller Line up and thus making them an unstoppable force in the extreme metal genre.
The Line up is now official as thus:

As Of march 29th 2008 Ba'al Gadreel Dracul left Shadows Of Sin.Due to schedule conflicts he is unable to perform with the band and will not be appearing on the New Album.A new bassist is in line and is yet to be announced.
The Line Up is now official with the new bassist.

In the month of April of 2008 Thad Forren Left Shadows Of Sin due to creative differences. so now the quintet of Misdeed are down to four once again. The Line Up is now thus:

Deadheart - Demonic Low End
Wargoat - Infernal Battery
Sarah joined shadows of sin in early may of 2008 ..boards to fill the sound and bring forth the uneasy atmosphere that Shadows of Sin has been looking for.

In Late July 2008 Sarah Bathory Resigned her Position due to schedule conflicts between Work, School,and The Band. Shadows of Sin is back to a quartet for now but will hopefully find a live keyboard player for upcoming shows. Their Debut Album "As Above, So Below" is due out this November.
On November 2nd 2008 Sean "Damien VonDusk" Sullivan announced his departure from Shadows of Sin. We wish him all the best in all of his future endevours.
