IL "MANIFESTO" DI EPIZEPHIRY:
Non solo Festival ma, attraverso il Centro Interculturale, anche Laboratorio permanente di idee attorno a cui si raccolgono giovani, filmaker, registi, sceneggiatori che hanno così la possibilità di incontrarsi ed esprimersi. Il Cineforum, inoltre, come luogo di incontri e dibattiti con attori e registi professionisti, si propone come filo conduttore del premio nel segno di un “Festival†che, attraverso varie forme, sia vivo e presente per tutto l’anno. Seguendo lo stesso principio, si sviluppa il progetto “Epizephiry va a scuolaâ€, il cinema insegnato ai giovani, perché il magico mondo del cinema sia, sin da bambini, una passione vissuta in prima persona. Ai bambini è dedicato anche uno specifico laboratorio artigianale per la realizzazione di corti animati che si tiene periodicamente nel Centro Interculturale di Sant’Ilario dello Jonio (RC).
Il gemellaggio con altri Festival, Nazionali e Internazionali, è fondamentale per lo scambio di materiale e idee e la manifestazione assume veste itinerante per promuovere in maniera adeguata i lavori e i registi migliori.
Arrivare alla presentazione in prima nazionale di film e audiovisivi sarà una tappa fondamentale.
L’estensione è, invece, rappresentata da iniziative, gravitanti attorno al Festival, tese alla valorizzazione di espressioni artistiche come la musica e il teatro.

EPIZEPHIRY FILM FESTIVAL:
It’s not only a Festival but, through the intercultural centre, it’s also a permanent laboratory of ideas where young people, filmakers, directors and screenwriters have the possibility to meet and express themselves.
In addition to the Festival, professional actors and directors can meet and interact at the cineforum which remains open and active all year. The “Epizephiry goes to school†project works in the same way, so that the magical cinema world becomes a living passion starting from childhood.
At the intercultural centre of S.Ilario children also have the unique opportunity to partake in the creation of short animation films in a laboratory specifically conceived for this activity.
The twinning with other national and international festivals is fundamental for the exchange of ideas and material. Moreover the event is a travelling one with the purpose of promoting the best director’s work. The presentations of national film premières is central to the event and come alive with musical and theatrical performances – a true festival of the arts.
