KENNY OLSON---- Lead Guitarist for Kid Rock 1995 – 2005 Guitarist and Partook in writing and live and in studio performances of various records.Albums including Devil Without a Cause, Cocky, Self Titled, The Kid Rock Live, Select cuts on History of Rock. Numerous USO Tours, Late Night Show, David Letterman, Superbowl, Tonight Show In the course of 10 years he has done thousands of shows, numerous late night tv performances including…. VH1, MTV special events and award shows, various Simpsons, Character in Osmosis Jones, Numerous performances on award shows – AMA’s, Grammy’s, etc. Extensive touring around the world as a headliner. Spent a year on the road with Metallica. Numerous performances as a guitarist for Metallica. Other notable bands Kid Rock toured with are Aerosmith including an MTV performance with Steven Tyler and Joe Perry. Guitarist and partook in writing Uncle Kracker’s Doublewide record. During Kenny’s years with Kid Rock, he spent time recording with Sheryl Crow, including the hit single “Pictureâ€, which also appeared on Sheryl Crow’s Greatest Hits album. Other artists that performed with Kid Rock and Kenny include Billy Gibbons, Ted Nugent, Wayne Kramer, Chuck D, Grand Master Flash, Gretchen Wilson, Lee Ann Rhimes, Wayne Newton, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Snoop Dogg, Hank Williams Jr., Ron Jeremy, just to name a few. Over the last 10 years Kenny has done a great deal of work with Jimmy Hendrix’s family. Including numerous performances with Billy Cox, Buddy Miles, Mitch Mitchell, Double Trouble, Buddy Guy, Paul Rogers and others as they toured the country doing a tribute to Jimmy Hendrix. Hendrix family approached Kenny and Chaka Khan to record Little Wing, which upon completion of the song many artists, such as Prince, Santana, Eric Clapton, among others came on board with additional songs by Jimmy to create the album Power of Soul. Kenny was a featured artist on the Return of the Band of Gypses Album Live, which features Kenny, Billy Cox, Buddy Miles, and other guitar greats. Other records Kenny was a feature on include Eric Gayle’s That’s What I Am, Bif Naked’s Purge – Desmond Child – Producer, Big Chief’s Mac Avenue, Les Paul and Friends, Run DMC’s School of Olde (song title), and numerous other records and songs. Presently Kenny is working as a Producer, Writer and Guitarist developing new acts. Over the years Kenny has appeared in many advertisements including Fender Musical Instruments, Gibson Guitars, Jim Dunlop, Earnie Ball, Hiwatt, to name a few.
