THE SCORPIO BROS. is the production, songwriting, and musician team formed by Kenny Olson and Shannon Boone. Know to millions around the world from his 10 yrs as lead guitarist with KID ROCK AND THE TWISTED BROWN TRUCKER BAND, Kenny O and Shannon hooked up while both on the Detroit music scene to write and produce together. Having already left a trail of hooks and kick ass grooves in their wake the two have never looked back since. Olson who has played with everyone imaginable and performed and written on albums that have totaled over 30 million sold worldwide has the knowledge of what it takes to make a hit record and genuine straight from the heart amazing from another planet talent on the guitar. Combined with Boone's production, engineering, and amazing talent and genuine soul on the drums the two are capable of pulling off almost any genre of music while leaving their own unique stamp on it. KENNY OLSON----Lead Guitarist for Kid Rock and Twisted Brown Trucker Live and in Studio 1995 – 2005 Guitarist and Partook in writing and live and in studio performances of various albums including Devil Without a Cause, Cocky, Kid Rock Self Titled, Live Trucker, and The History of Rock. Kenny has also appeared on Numerous USO Tours, Late Show w/ David Letterman, The Superbowl, Woodstock,The Tonight Show, and Conan O’Brien. Kenny has done thousands of shows throughout the world, including VH1, MTV special events and award shows, various Simpsons episodes, and Osmosis Jones, Numerous performances on award shows The AMA’s, Grammy’s, CMT awards etc. performed as a guitarist with Metallica. Other notable bands Kenny shared the stage with are Aerosmith including an MTV performance with Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, Billy Gibbons, Ted Nugent, Mountain, Chuck D, Grand Master Flash, Edgar Winter, Lee Ann Rhimes, Wayne Newton, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Snoop Dogg, Hank Williams Jr., and Ron Jeremy, just to name a few. Kenny has done a great deal of work with Jimi Hendrix’s family. Including numerous performances with Billy Cox, Buddy Miles, Mitch Mitchell, Double Trouble, Buddy Guy, Paul Rogers and others as they toured the country doing a tribute to Jimi Hendrix. Hendrix family approached Kenny and Chaka Khan to record Little Wing, which upon completion of the song many artists, such as Prince, Santana, Eric Clapton, among others came on board with additional songs by Jimmy to create the album Power of Soul. Kenny was a featured artist on the Return of the Band of Gypses Album Live, which features Kenny, Billy Cox, Buddy Miles, and other guitar greats. Kenny was a guitarist and partook in writing Uncle Kracker’s Doublewide record. Kenny spent time recording with Sheryl Crow, including the hit single “Pictureâ€, which also appeared on Sheryl Crow’s Greatest Hits album. Other records Kenny was a feature on include Eric Gale’s That’s What I Am, Bif Naked’s Love Myself Today produced by Desmond Child, Les Paul and Friends, Run DMC’s School of Old, and numerous other records and songs. Presently Kenny is working as a Producer, Writer and Guitarist developing new acts. Over the years Kenny has appeared in many advertisements including Fender Musical Instruments, Gibson Guitars, Jim Dunlop, Earnie Ball, Hiwatt, to name a few.
SHANNON BOONE---- Shannon Boone has been making big noise since he was 6 years old. Rocking shows and honing his skills with his dad and his friends from an early age. Shannon has been a strong force on the music scene for years supplying incredible time for The Howling Diablos ,South Normal, The Flask, 5 Star Carni, The Scorpio Bros. and sought after for many studio sessions Earning praise from his idols to other musicians, Shannon was influenced by pioneers from John Bonham, Tommy Lee to Dr. Dre to Jimi Hendrix, he learned from the greatest. While being inspired by such a plethora of different music such as old school rap, pop. country to rock n roll, it is evident in Boone’s playing, producing, and engineering that he has a style to be compared to no one else.
